Longer barrel equals more fp?
I go up to a 24 inch barrel on Monday, which I’m reliably informed is the single best tuning mod you can do? I shall let people know… Staying 22 calibre for now as I like the range of inexpensive pellets plus the user friendly trajectory.

I have a Talon SS in .22 cal. with the 12″ barrel that I up-graded to a .25 cal. with a 12″ .25 cal. barrel from (TT) Talon Tunes . Generally , if I’am
shooting pest up to 20 yds. I use either EJ 43.2 gr or EJ 35.8 gr pellets , both kill very nicely . Anything over 20 yds I prefer to shoot H&N Sport
Baracuda Hunter Extreme 28.40 gr pellet up to 40 yds. and they kill just as good at that range . Never had to shoot past 40 yds. so this is all the
info that I can give you about my ( The Dirt Napper ) , Talon SS . Let me just say that since I went to a .25 cal. I will not buy another PCP air gun
in .22 cal. reason being I like the knock down and killing power of the .25 caliber far more better than the .22 caliber . For myself and the type
of pests I shoot and the yardage that I shoot at the .25 caliber is the perfect set-up for me .

Hi Birdman, I’m brand new to PCPs so learning fast but I thought the 25 calibre had a slightly steeper arc than the 22. I think I get your valid point though its just a case of understanding your gun, calibre, pellet or bullet combination and then putting that into practice in the field. To be honest I might still get a 25 calibre.
Chrisyboy , I understand why you want to stay and shoot your air gun at the .22 caliber level due to pellet selection and cost . However , what I don’t
get is your meaning of USER FRIENDLY TRAJECTORY . Regardless of caliber , all have an establish distance of effectiveness . Please explain .

Yes Birdman I hear great things about the take down of the 25 calibre. I hear that if you even clip game with 25 calibre the concussion alone is enough to get the job done. I think that will be my next calibre for sure, but I will enjoy my 24 inch 22 calibre that arrives tomorrow first. Thanks for your comments pal. Happy shooting.
