Unfortunately this works for some and not all children. I was fortunate to learn what a 12 gauge was at about 8 years old. After shouldering that with the help of my uncle and pulling the trigger I realized I shouldn’t touch the gun yet. I left the guns in the corners of the room where they stood loaded with no ammo in chamber.

I have children and grew up around powder burners. Our guns had safeties for a reason. 🙄
