Q:

Airforce 25 calibre less likely to dump air?

Okay guys my talon is dumping air which is not great to say the least. I’ve had some helpful tips like put an O-ring behind the tophat and I will try that for sure. I’ve also been told that the tank dumping doesn’t tend to happen cos of the barrel walls or something? If that’s the case then it would tip the balance for me and make investing in a 25 calibre, something I was considering doing, worthwhile. Although I’m fairly disappointed to be having to spend more and more money on this gun just to get things right.

Thanks guys the o ring behind top hat trick seems to have worked! Ten shots fired, no problem. That was with the standard airforce tophat with oring seat. If I am feeling brave then I will try the TT tophat in a couple of days but not immediately as my scuba needs topping up.

Brilliant. As I have changed a couple of things already I might wait until ir does it again before trying your trick. Thanks so much. This is why it is worth being involved in forums like this.

Remove all the air from the bottle, remove complete valve and adjust the retaining nut on the bottom of the valve. Tighten it one full turn in. This should cure your problem.

If there is NO tension on the spring at all, give it one and one half turn in. It may have loosened up.
