Right I gave my barrel a quick clean with some cotton pellets and it DID seem to improve accuracy. Ragged holes often as not at 20 yards.
Next time you clean the barrel post some patches please so we can see the difference with oiled pellets
I think if you have lightly oiled your pellets then your barrels should be effectively self cleaning?? But I might be wrong. I must be at 500 pellets since I last cleaned my barrel. And I must say I think its at the most accurate she’s ever been at the moment. Perhaps if yo oil your pellets and being that I’m at 22 cal not 25 cal you can go further before cleaning?? I suppose every gun is different. The gun is also near new.
I just see very fine dust, I just think it is part of owning a PCP airgun.
if you can see accumulated lead inside the moderator,,,this seems to be a clipping issue… you need to take a pic and post ,,, ,,but if the lead shape looks like a dust ,,then it is ok,,no worries ,,,
exactly for me brother Kayser …
All .25 need cleaning to stay accurate no matter on brand too much lead going at such speeds leave a lot of deposits
That sounds about right. I shoot a lot indoors, at 12.5 yards. Shooting, standing up with the Edgun .25 supported in front with a bypod, I can shoot .030″ ctc five shot groups. When my groups get to .050″ and I know it’s not me, I clean the barrel. That’s a patch or two every tin (350 pellets).
Gerard, I remove a lot of lead from the .25 when I clean them. I think it is normal for a .25 to deposit lead in the barrel no manner what the maker does. I mean look how dirty the moderator gets. I do not think there is a solution except cleaning.
That’s confusing me, i loose accuracy after about 500 pellets on .25 long r3m. What is confusing that Ed said with the new barrels there shouldn’t be too much leading in the barrel when using jsb, that’s why am asking
I clean the 25 about 350 and the .22 around 500 rounds. I don’t wait for accuracy problems.

my Edgun hates lubed pellet What I have found works for me is to clean the gun once every five hundred rounds but only take two passes with a cotton patch to get the big chunks of lead out.
