Q:

TTTA+JDSairman reg=?

Anybody have a JDSAIRMAN reg attached to a TTTA? How’s it working for you? Curious to see if it is something to look into. I have both, the reg and the adaptor. Thank you

I’m in the same boat as you. I’m wanting to buy the JDS 4500 regulator with the 90cu bottle but I cannot use it and still see through my scope.

My only option is to find out some way to drop the bottle down.

Once I figure that out I am ready to pull the trigger and buy it.

JDS reg don’t fit the ttta. Alteros regs do. Stay clear of HFire! The JDS rig is nice. I have one set up running 2300 psi and get 39-40 fpe with 25.4 gr jsb monsters starting at 3100 psi. first 40 or so shots are within 11 fps and and 80 of them are in a 30 fps window. Reg is a very nice setup for accuracy and low power. My 22 condor with 24 in barrel and R&L shroud is about 48 inches long over all with the reg set up. Having a fill port and gage is very nice on a condor. I will be ordering a 2nd tank next month so I can run one regulated for all day shooting and the other will be wide open for some serious power in the low to mid 80’s.

When it comes to the regulator its all about volume! Small regulator volume = low velocity. over come that by either increasing air pressure or volume in adapter. Its a fun game to find your balance but once you figure out the math portion you can sit there all day doing bb gun math and figure out what you want to try next and be very close to what you will actually get. Its kinda fun and you don’t have to pump all day. Do the research, do the math then check it then build/buy and shoot. saves time and money.

I have the jds regulator on my Condor SS…I think you can use the TTTA in place of the Adapter that JDS sells with his regulator…..otherwise the length of pull would be too long for the average person.

The Etac looks just like the 2-3″ part between your gauge and the back of your gun..The reg has the little part with the gauge and burst disks.
It look like jds just made his own Etac type extender with the washer stack inside. I have heard the Etac guy, http://www.kyhistoricsalvage.com/etacreg1.html
has been ill , so maybe JDS just made his own.

Either way, it does add a few inches to the over all length. I have had one on my Talon ss for years…I just took it off a week ago.

If your reg is set at 1600psi..and you get 70 shots from 2800 to 2000….Then why not shoot down to 1600..thats what your regs set to.

At any rate your 50 yard shooting is very good..when you win the barrel (or barrels if no one else jumps in)..throw it in the corner for future play.
Your gun is shooting great just the way it is.
Leave it alone!

I still don’t think you can use that reg with the TTTA, but best to ask Tony, I could be wrong

quote Mrnewbie:

TTTA = Talon Tunes Tank Adapter..no reg

I don’t think you can use a TTTA and a JDS reg at the same time.

I think if you have a JDS reg you have to use the Etac adapter..but I’m not sure.

Thanks for clearing up the abbreviation, I’ve seen regs on the TTTA, adds a lot of length to the butt. And adds volume to the reg too. Not sure what the out come would be in this combo, but I know the reg output can be controlled with the TT TH inserts. No need for ETAC, JDS adapts to the AF valve/bottle perfectly. Best 92$ I’ve spent. My .22 w/24″ barrel shoots 13.4 RS @ 830 fps, with small insert. Add 50 fps for the large insert. Regulated @1600psi I get 70 ish shots from 2800-2000psi with small TT insert. This is after Tony tuned the gun. Hope this helps. That’s actually my gun on the JDSairman website, under the Airforce section.

Ok, noob question… What’s a TTTA? I have a JDS reg on my condor, working great.
