Q:

Donnyfli Shroud and LDC on my 25

Well I broke down and ordered one of Donny’s shroud’s and LDC for my 25 long. Great guy deal with by the way. Very nice workmanship and quality was my first impression, well second, I couldn’t believe how light it was when I unpacked it being my first impression. Donny don’t go light on strapping tape either. I think he had a whole roll on just my package. LOL. I installed both the shroud and LDC and fired off a few rounds. WOW! that thing is quiet. If I was going to guess I’d say the combo makes a 1/4 the noise the factory shroud makes and the shroud alone quiets it down a lot. After shooting it for a while and then switching back to just the factory shroud it again gives you a renewed perception of how quiet it is.

It did change the POI from where I had it zero’d but it was grouping well so I just re-sighted my zero. My gun went from 33′ to right at 40″ so it definitely looks different. Kinda like a cannon now setting on top of my almost Atlas bipod. Thanks again Donny.

He’s working on a soft rubber hammer, to be released soon. Stand by……

Don’t order that shroud and LCD you will be left with a deafening hammer slap…….. :angrymob: Donny must now make hammer slap mod :2cents:

Damn it Kid, stop asking and just order!! It’s worth every penny if your looking for quietness……

I just ordered one. I heard nothing but good things about this shroud and LDC. Send him PM his great guy to deal with..

I want one for my .25, how much for the whole shebang?

Blue 100 is my favorate color….

Wife doesn’t need one, she said mine is perfect short and fat. If the blue pill is not working for you Zonk, I can make you a nice slide on like my v1 shrouds. Those years of putting up with her crankiness will go away 🙂

another poet but this makes me smile

Depends who you ask but my intention is to make it equal or quieter than OEM with the option to make it quieter with the LDC. I think Kalibrgun did a great job with the baffles given how much free space they had to work with. If you have nearby neighbors then you really need to control the muzzle blast. Even when I am at the shooting range now, I prefer to shoot with an LDC on. It makes shooting tins after tins enjoyable and easy on the ears.

It becomes a sniper rifle when you need it and back to short rifle when you don’t 🙂 The shroud is about 3/4 of an inch longer than OEM and that’s because of the cap that covers the 1/2 x 20 adapter.

Does the shroud itself add any length to the gun?

The shroud alone is quieter then factory shroud?
