Q:

First day at the range with my Matador r3m 25cal

Went to the range today to set up the scope and just get a general feeling for the gun. First thing I liked was how light it is. One of the guy’s had his Cricket with him and the weight difference was quite significant. As far accuracy, they are pretty even. As far as ease of transporting them in the bush, the Matador takes it. Love the power this gun has. Waiting to get those new 34grn JSB extra heavies and see how they hit the iguanas. 😈

Same here, Goober, kept trying to raise max fps with larger pellets and in the end, you really don’t gain much, if anything. And your shot count goes to hell.

Thanks for the tip Bogman, I’ll keep that in mind. Guess I’ll just stock up on the Kings. :8:

Congrats on the R3M Syclone.

You might not want to spend too much money on the heavies. Ed designs these for JSB/Edgun 25 gr. In my R3M, the Kings shoot best at 915-920 fps. If you up the pellet weight, you’ll want to play with the hammer spring tension and/or regulator to get the best groups.

If you do, please post the groups and what speeds the 34 gr heavies fly best at.

Thanks
