Q:

Top hats

I see a lot of top hats for sale for the Condors does anyone make 1 for the Talon? I just put a 24″ 25 on my Talon SS and looking for a little bit more out of it, getting about 860 fps. Funds are a little short so a new tank is out for the time being.

Thanks All
Steve

Just had time to shoot so more strings and I think that I’m at about the limit of the valve I have. Looks like I’m going to have to live with it till I can get a new tank. I want to keep the tank I have so I can go back and play with the .177 and work on it.
Thank you all for the help
Steve

If you have a standard valve, the .25 will not go much faster.
The hi-flo tophat/stem will only work if you have the hi-flo valve on your tank.

You can do two things:
1) replace the valve assembly on the tank you own (just contact airforce for all the parts. Beware this is potentially dangerous work if you don’t know what you are doing.
2) Buy a new tank with hi-flo valve. This way you have 2 tanks and can keep on playing with different barrels or later buy a new frame and have 2 rifles.

I also have a talon that originally was in .22. I added a TalonP tank wich is hi-flo and I use it for hunting. I switch back to the standard valve tank for plinking and target shooting.

Cheers
Chris

I believe the ones made for the .177 and .22Talon SS are the equipped with Standard Valve. I think the .25 for the Talon is the Hi-Flo valve. Don’t quote me cause I am relatively new to AF rifles.

I have a Talon SS in .22 and it has the Standard flow valve, But it might be the micro-metre valve for all I know? I should post of pic of it to be sure. Trying to save up to buy a Condor .25!
