I shot 4 310gr slugs at 50 without a noticeable shift in poi. I didnt have the chrony out.
“Need to top up with heavy slugs after two shots??” That’s like a partial tank dump every time you fire it then. I’ll wait till they bring the sexy side lever cocking out on the Condor and Talon.
Thanks Jagchaser! This is my first airforce so I’m a lil behind the curve. Towards the barrel for larger pills, and towards the breach for smaller. Towards the breach would be considered up?

For larger slugs 350-400 gr dial that power wheel back towards the end of the barrel. Refill after every 2 shots. They told me to expect 2 shot groups with the large slugs. If you are running roundball then dial the wheel all the way towards the breech and you can do 10 shot groups or so.
With the power all the way up roundball (5 shot groups) holes would all touch each other at 50 yards. With the power turned down I can get (2 shot groups) slug holes to touch each other at 50 yards. After 2 shots with big slugs there is not enough air and they start to go haywire. I haven’t got my sizer in yet so Im not finished fine tuning.
Ill be putting some shots through the chrony tommorrow. Still trying to figure out this spring adjustment.
I picked mine up today despite the severe flooding here in Houston. Fedex showed it ready to be picked up!

Im almost wondering if I need a pad on the buttstock! This thing kicks! I was getting up to 530ftlb using a 435 Grain lubed spritzer. 505 ftlb out of my 357 grain FN. 1000fps using 177gr fn. I had some 500 and 520 grain slugs I wanted to try for the heck of it, but they wouldn’t fit.
I have put ALOT of rounds out of it already, and its clear I need the sizer that is on its way now. My cast slugs were not accurate enough. Lee 457-340 mold is not big enough. At least mine is not. It measures .455-.457 and does not fill out the rifling all the way. My lyman 457-122 just barely fills it out. Im hoping that the rcbs 325gr fn will be big enough to size down evenly to .458.

Hi Tony, I would be interested to know the frame internal diameter and if you could just slide a 25 cal 24 inch barrel in there. Everyone wants something different, for me that would make the perfect gun :fishinghole:
