Potentially Explosive??
Hi guys,
I do tuning and repairs in South Africa and I’ve recently received a Condor SS that was sent for hydro dipping and is with me now for assembly.
Long story short, pieces of the valve were removed for the dipping process and as a result moisture got into the bottle. Now my question is, does anyone know if the use pure water to transfer the coating onto the bottle? I know the fluid has alcohol called polyvinyl alcohol which would’ve evaporated by now. I’ve rinsed the bottle out with clean water but I’m still not confident that its safe to fill to operating pressure.
Anyone have any advice.

I had corrosion in my old Condor where the valve spring rests in the brass nut. I was advised to use a light coat of Di-electric grease where the two dis-similar metals contact. We have been having more than usual humidity here in Ohio so maybe you won’t need to do this.
id think that if you rinse the bottle out with rubbing alohol and let it sit in the sun for couple hours it’d be ok….

Thanx for the suggestion guys, I ended up scrubbing the inside out with river sand and water. Looks much better now.
