Can you easily set a Cricket to -/+ 65 FPE ?
What pellets do the Crickets like beside JSB ?
Is the Cricket rifle the same gun as the BullPup ?
Thanks in advance

with everything I have done to my gun which I did port out my valve a little and thinned my valve stem also I have my regulator set to an OAL of 53.79, valve spring retainer set to .194 depth from top of threads, and hammer adjusted all the way in and I am getting 65-66 fpe using 43.2 gr eunjins at 828-835 fps.
regulator is fully polished also this helps to accurize when the reg. closes.
barrel is also polished. I am setting mine to shoot rat sniper slugs 37 gr pellets at 890-880 fps. :biggrinn:
31 grain barracuda are very good – just set the speed to give the best grouping. Try starting at 880 and do some trial and error.
Crickets are only air guns, so they will never have much power but they can be very accurate, better than a rimrire.

Manny, those Eun Jin heave suckers I sent to you are the left overs from me messin’ around with trying to get more umpf out of my .25 cricket BP. I could not get them to group unless I slowed them down, and that defeated the purpose I was trying to achieve. I’m sure the gun is capable of this kind of energy with the right set up of regulator adjustment and hammer spring adjustment. I’ve just got mine shooting so well with the regular old JSB 25 gr and polymags, I haven’t messed with it since I got my regulator tester from John. I might try some of the new heavies or Mr. Hollow point slugs or Rat Sniper’s… Too dang hot to get out and shoot here, that and all this rain… maybe in the Fall. Oh and I reworked my .25’s stock and got it down to about 8 pounds with the scope… took over a pound of plastic off it.
I was gonna say… why Question it…. when the koreans put it down pretty hard. and accurate from what I’ve seen.
well if they can sling a .25 jsb 25.4 g at 1080 fps then i would say they can do it with the 34’s at 920 fps….. with minor adjustments like the regulator and hammer, idk. they do have a full length barrel so thats helping. but I’m sure the porting is matched…
if it can it wont have much more than that, if any.
now a full porting and polishing and some playing with the springs and such… sure .
Or you just do what Reaper does, ..use a Bullet and your Cricket turns into a 100 FPE gun
No, No I’m not looking to buy a Cricket, just curious.
I hear a lot how Cricket owners talk about near 60 FPE energy so I was wandering if by just playing with adjustments and regulator the Cricket could be a -/+ 65 FPE gun, that would be perfect with the 34gr JSB,…….just trying to help out Cricket owners :biggrinn: :biggrinn: :biggrinn: :biggrinn:
Ho boy that Cricket rifle is 9.6 Pounds 😯 😯 😯 😯 …not something I would want to carry around when my Evanix .25 is 8 Pounds Scoped :winkn:
Do you think you can bring it up to 65 FPE just by Home Tuning ?
Im sure it can be done manny…. Don’t u own a Dremel? ….
Open up that valve some and let that puppy breath…
Not sure why you would want a cricket over something like a JKhahn or one of the other korean masterpieces….
some of them look like they really pack the power and shoot the heavies really well
I don’t know, it shoots so good I don’t want to mess with it. Regards, Tom

For a 25 cal shooting the new JSB 34g heavies I’m sure, easily maybe for Ernest.
Need to add an extra Belleville spring washer and more than likely port out the transfer port.
Hard to say for it being such a new entry and how accurate it will be at 930 fps.
H&N cudas but it’ll more than likely be subpar compared to JSBs, second as best but don’t quote me on that.
Don’t know about the rifle ?
I always saw you with a Bullpup in hand and a more then DRT pig by your side.
Why the interest in the rifle my I ask ?
Have you ever got a chance to shoot Michael’s Cricket 9 milli ?
Sometimes it’s just makes more sense to use a larger cal.

Yeah I did shoot Michaels 9mm Cricket.
I just don’t know much about this Platform so I was just trying to learn,
as for BullPups vs Rifles, I’m trending into going back to rifles, the problem with BullPups is that the scope just sits to High, when I hunt the target is never at a set distance and the scope as close to the bore as possible diminishes the hold over or under at different distances than where the gun is zeroed at.
I ran some of the new JSB 33.95 pellets through my .25 carbine and got 860fps 56fpe not changing anything. Gun is completely stock. Regards, Tom

Cool beans, I like reading on some of the big power you guys do, 20 % of my prey is euro doves and 79% is sparrows, 1% is the odd pest that comes around,,
I would love to shoot a few sparrows with a 9mm cricket, Just because I am sick, LOL,
But I am sticking with my 22 and 25 Earnest tuned Crickets,
Mike
