Q:

Gun safe, Is it OK ?

Just bought me a 24 gun safe, I have always stored my Crickets on a wall hanging up, Never set them down and leaned them on any thing,
Thank my PCP Marauder beginning for that habit,
Is there any problem with leaning the cricket in an up right position????
That’s standing the gun on its butt and having the barrel touch the wall.
I know that no gun safe is 100 % safe, But it will stop the common drug break in from just walking away with my hobby,
I will get pictures if you guys want them of my safe,
I put if off for a while to buy a compressor , But now its all coming together very well.
In the sport
broke as hell
but having a blast….

P.S, Tag How is the layaway plan coming for the Vulcans , :smilen: :smilen: :smilen:

Oh thanks Zonk.
That really hurt !
It hurts when I laugh,
Mike

Sounds like you need some slip on shoes….

Thanks,
I got a couple of motion led lights I have not installed, Normally in West Texas its so dry the mosquitos carry around water packs. But it have been raining a lot this year, You see ducks walking around at the city park with life jackets on. :suprisedn:
So I do need to get a dehumidifier for it,
Its setting in my living room now, Its got to go in my office soon, but I pulled a muscle under my rib cage getting that far in the house, Right now I have a hard time tying my shoe strings, I heal fast,
Mike

Greg and Mike, I have 2 12″ fluorescent lights in both safes. They’ll keep temperature at 72 degrees and keep humidity at around 30-40%. Plu it’s nice when you open your safe you can see what your grabbing…

That’s a very cool story Mike !
Seem like no matter how much you like something, there’s someone that wants it more than you do. :winkn:

I have 2 springer’s and till today I do shoot them on occasions, a great way to horn in on the skill. :5:

Also my friend swears by these stuff, if you haven’t got one yet even in Texas you’ll need one.

Thanks for the video GKU, I rotate my Crickets and try to shoot them down to 120 bar before I switch guns, Just takes a little longer with the 22,
When I got into this pellet gun sport , I shot BB guns then pellet guns then , Robert Beeman got me into springer’s, In the 1970s way cool,
I kept hearing about PCP guns , But the price was crazy, I got on the Benjamin site and tried the 25 , I really wanted a 22 but was talked into a 25. (thank you)
I come from a long line of 177 the best caliber bar none, (Robert beeman)
My Marauder 25 put everything I have ever owned to shame , Once I learned to shoot it, You sight that baby in and it will shoot with any other air guns that I know of.
But if you set it down, or fart, The POI will change, If you clean the barrel , You can zero it in after about 25 shots and I am talking one hole groups at 50 yards,
Yes the Marauder is an entry lever PCP, It will start the fire, and make you learn some very strange habits with other PCP guns
Oh I was talking about gun safes,

If you got one, Just one gun, the safe is worth the Money, Just one of these little crickets are worth , What 2,200 bucks or more.
Drug dealer to pawn shop, I think its filled with air, Pawn shop, Oh a BB gun, I will give you 25 dollars for it, Drug dealer , OK.
Warning if you buy a 600 LB gun safe, Do not unload it by your self, I do not care how tough you think you are,
Mike

My first PCP was a AF Condor. That one seemed to have a wandering poa. Think it was a frame flex issue .

FVA, when I had my M-rod the POI would change if the wind blew. When the sun set it would shoot low, when the sun rose it would shoot high. If you leaned it on anything it would be all over the place.

quote Zonk:

you must have never owned a Marauder……………… always shifting

True that, lol..
I won’t have a rifle with a design issue that makes for a changing POA.

A smart a wise buy there Mike, you’ve got me thinking.

Also Mike, if you haven’t seen this video on long term storage pressure.

There is no issue leaning air rifles against the wall in a upright position by the barrel.
I have had all the name brands and usually stored just that way, some for years.
No problem to grab one and pick off a starling at a moments notice at any range they are capable of.

Mike if it were me, I’d lean it against the scope turrets and not the barrel. I have a safe in my utility room and one in the barn. Both are bolted to the floor with 4- 5/8″ SS bolts and lagged to the wall studs with 1/2″ x 4″ lags. Yes they may get them but they’ll have to work for it. I also have a alarm system covering both barns and the house.
