Here’s a 90-shot string of my Cricket .22 caliber rifle which has been powered down to shoot JSB 16-grain pellets at 13 FPE (I can get up to 180 shots from a starting pressure of 210 to an ending pressure of 60 BAR with a standard deviation of 2 FPS).

STARTING PRESSURE: 210 BAR
PELLETS: JSB .22 CALIBER (16 GR.)

Note: pellets were unsorted and unweighed. They were shot directly from the tin.

No need to waste money on a Huma regulator. The Kalibrgun regulator is just as consistent. It’s just a matter of adjusting it to be in perfect harmony with the hammer and firing valve spring. Sometimes it’s just a matter of cleaning, lubing, adjusting, etc. The Cricket regulator is as capable as on Olympic-class reg and will last until your beard grows to your toes. 😀

I think hama regulator is not any miracle or something else 🙂 it´s similar regulator like kalibrgun reg.

Just saying, if I was offered either one from this particular sample I’d take the Huma, the regulator in my 25 Cricket is just about as flat as the Huma though, at least is was when I just got it back from Ernest. Haven’t shot a string in so long there aint no telling what its doing now.

Read the shot string side by side. Really no worth while difference particularly considering the Crickets reg. comes with the gun.
Likely a washer polish would take away the couple wider single digit spreads.

From looking at chart there’s only a couple of noticeable variances on the Huma string. Maybe a bent skirt or different weight pellet. I’d definitely take the Huma in this example. It comes down to this, Kalibregun specializes in building PCP’s. Huma’s specialty is regulators.

From that chart……no.

Is Huma regulator really better than the stock one?

How did you polish these spring washers? Did you do any resurfacing of the surface where the regulator bolt is sealed?

Is Huma regulator really better than the stock one?

I polished the spring washers and the valve mating surfaces and my regulator gives me an extreme spread of 10 fps or less and a standard deviation of 1 fps it does not take much to make the original regulator really nice.

The cricket uses a pretty good regulator…. nothing wrong with it.
