Q:

Condor SS stock hammer weight?

As above, does anyone have a decent set of scales and a stock Condor hammer weight to hand? If so i’d appreciate it if they could let me know how much it weighs?
I’m going to mod my talon hammer to incorperate the extra weigh of the Condors hammer weight and get it running on the barrel rather than the inside of the frame at the same time.
Hopefully it will make the gun a little more consistent, today a pellet practically dropped out the end of the barrel after what I can only presume was a case of some pretty serious hammer chatter.

Both of my stock hammers weighed in at 48 grams. The extra weight for the Condor weighed in at 18 grams. My TT 65 gram hammer slap mod weighed in at 70 grams, my 95 was actually 93 grams.

Cool, thanks. I’ve made a hammer which weighs 85g and made bushings to centralise the hammer spring. I’ve definitely improved my consistency and added a little to the power but the next sort is definitely valve work.

Lee, sorry cant find either the condor weight/ spacer of nfo.
But, consider that the extra condor weight is also a spacer that increases the tension on the hammer spring. So you will need to add the length to your hammer. Riff Raff made his hammer from a 1″ brass bushing from Ace Hardware.

Also, irradic hammer is often caused by burrs on the inside of the frame along and especially at the forward end of the breach bolt slot. The burrs will be putting scratches on the rear hammer plastic end cap. Remove the burrs with a small fine file, usually called a rifle file set. Polish the frame in the hammer area and the problem should disapear.

I weighed both my condor ss & talon ss hammer, they weighted the the same. If I remember correctly they weighted 43 grams & the hammer weight was 18 grams. The talon don’t have a hammer weight. I installed the talon ss bottle on my condor ss with the hammer weight & made a 65 gram weightf or my talodor.
