Q:

Searching for MY perfect bullpup scope.

Looking for a nice piece of glass for my Vulcan .25, something compact in size preferably under 12 in length, First focal plane, with at least 16-18X zoom, Illuminated, Mil-Mil. Hopefully less than $1000.00 more the $800.00 neighborhood. I have a Falcon Menace 5.5 – 25X50 with illuminated b20 reticle on its way but not married to it as of yet… @15 in and 32oz it is cumbersome but we will see. My searching is making me blurry eyed so help would be very appreciated!

I agree on the SWFA SS 3-15X42, for the money you are getting a great scope that is ffp. I use the 10X42 with the mill quad on all my guns and am very happy. even compared to the really nice glass i have my lepould, for airgun’s swfa all the way.

I would check out the Bushnell line. The DMR 3.5-21X is a FFP scope. Great glass, a little heavy. Not very long for what you get with it. But it is around $1200 or so. Also it has a 34mm tube so rings are more $ also. Also I found it will focus down to 50 yards. If you want it closer you will have to turn down the power.
The Bushnell 6500 2.5-16 is a great scope. I have several. They are short, light and the glass is very good. Only issue is it isn’t FFP. They will focus down to 10yards also. They can be had for around $500-700.
The Bushnell Tact 3-12 is a FFP scope with great glass. It is short and light. Only issue with this one is the 12x is lower than what you want. It will focus down to 10 yards also.

FM your quest to find that scope is unreasonable for the price you quoted. All the features you listed will put you in the 2.5K- 3K range. Something like a March scope. I would suggest eliminating some of your wants, in other words prioritize what’s important. Cost? Illuminated reticle? Size? Magnification?

A good option that has a lot of the qualifications is the SWFA SS 3-15X42

Hi there

Still awaiting my vulcan . So cannot be too specific.

Have purchased a Edgun 10-44 with side pa. As recommended by one of your readers. Living in EU cannot buy a Swfa in similar spec. Tried the above scope on my Cricket .22 , as Vulcan .25 not arrived yet. Very good glass with huge range of holdover. Nice click with positive turrets. Quality scope , especially light and short. Quite a rare scope even in EU land. Fast target acquisition with no zoom fiddling and short “Dope” card.
Length 330mm
Weight 600 grammes

Posted under Vulcan section .

I did find this link most helpful, your brain will spin with all his variables.

This link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytOLj8hYqAg should get you into his section.

He has a huge database of scopes there and analyses them from cheap upwards to many thousands of $.

Keysersoze , one of the subscribers here also uses the Vulcan .25 with a similar scope to your spec so may help too.

My priority was light weight reasonable quality. Good luck with your researches

Safe shooting
