Edgun Accuracy
My friend has an Edgun .22 that is really accurate. I am posting this without his knowledge.
Both groups are with lubed JSB 18.1’s at 970 fps.

mighty fine-looking sample you have there, KS. I hate to ask (because I’m sure it’s posted somewhere on the forums), but how is your .22 tuned, and why there?

I have had a .25 for a few years. I loved it so much that I bought that .22 in November 2013. I have about 15k rounds through it. It seems to get better the more I shoot it.
That is a tight 50 yard group. Excellent shooting. Im thinking its time for me to buy an Edgun Standard in 22 caliber. How old is your Edgun?
Yes I still have the 2.5-10×32. Its a great bullpup scope. 6×24 is a FFP
^Good to know about the parallax. Is it the FFP version? There’s lot of scopes out there with 50 yds parallax that have awesome glass/specs but it’s always been a concern if they were airgun friendly.

Yes the PST 6-24×50 I can use the paralax down to 15 yards if I drop the magnification to 6x. 14 yards and 50 are this gun’s two zeros. It’s not perfect at 15 yards but I have no problem whacking critters at that range. But long range is amazing with this scope. This is the EBR-1 mrad
What scope do you have mounted? Vortex Viper PST 6-24×50 with 50 yd parallax? How do you like it and is it usable inside of 50 yds?

His Edgun was just as accurate without lubing. We found out about lubing pellets from AZ. He explained that lubing pellets keeps the the barrel cleaner. Meaning less time putting patches through.
So now we both treat our barrels and lube pellets with Prolix. 3 to 5 patches with Prolix will clean the dirtiest barrel. It removes everything and puts a thin coat on the barrel. The only negative is it takes about 25 – 50 pellets(depending on the barrel) for accuracy to completely return.
Check out this video. It shows Prolix cleaning a handgun. If it cleans burnt gunpowder this easy imagine how it cleans lead from a pellet.

My friend had a Daystate that did not like lubed pellets. So some airguns do not like lubed pellets.
I find the gun does just fine without pellet lube. Here’s a full magazine dump with the R3M @920fps 18.1 distance of 50 meters no pellet lube.
He has tested the accuracy of this weapon without lubricate the pellets?
It would be interesting to see the comparison.

I agree. Talk about an accurate gun. Pellets were lubed with Prolix and inspected but not weighed or sorted. It was dead calm.

I have the regulator set at 130 with the HST set to shoot the 18.1 at 920 FPS. I found this setting produced the tightest group and best energy efficiency. The EDgun is still one of the best bullpups you can buy.
