.25 Vulcan order
Has anyone talked to Tony lately regarding when the next shipment of .25 Vulcans are scheduled to arrive? I am assuming they aren’t already all sold???
I am on the dreaded fence between the .22 and the .25.

Here is a thread I wrote about the EDgun but the same applies to the Vulcan. I found it impossible to duplicate the results found in this thread with the 22 EDgun. Let it be known that at 50 yards I can shoot the 22 Eddie better than the 25 Eddie so it’s not a factor that I am more comfortable with the 25.

Funny you mentioned this. We had a debate about this very Subject. Same condition the 25 needed 0.7 mil dot less holdover than. 22 Vulcan. But 25 was shooting a bit hotter. Don’t know how much hotter but did notice the time it took to impact at 80 yards
In my experience the .25 does out perform the .22. I have become to appreciate the 25 ability to perform in various environmental factors.

you got the right one since u want to do urban shooting or pesting.
a 25 just under 50 fpe shooting in a urban setting is too much gun really.
now if u are shooting in the woods or a farm, then go for it.

Foxbutt probably doesn’t have that info readily available. However, it has been posted many times here that the .25 shooters achieve better long distance scores with the heavier .25 pellets. The heavier the projectile, the more resistant it is to course variation caused by cross-winds. In the instant case, deviation from the original ballistic trajectory will be determined by factoring in how much pressure a given wind gust will affect a body of a given weight. Newton said it best “Every action results in an opposite, but equal, reaction”.
In layman’s terms…it will take a stronger wind to deflect a heavier projectile from it’s original course. A .25 gives you more accuracy because it’s heavier pellet is less easily deflected by wind.
Your statement “…but it’s definitely not by much if it does” must be considered in light of the fact that “not…much” can make a substantial difference when accuracy is measured in thousandths of an inch.

Congrats. I also was on the fence whether to get a .22 or .25. My issue was if I got the 25 and it was too loud, I’d have to get a new shroud or the mini-ldc discussed in threads here. Not sure if they would make it quiet enough. So after a month of going back and forth, I also ordered the .22.
I have a logan S-16 in .22 and it is VERY quiet. Shoots 14.3 gr CP’s at 950 fps. Hoping the vulcan is just as quiet.

Fox have you any proof that 25 bucks wind better. I’m holding over just as much with 25 as I am with 22. I have yet to do testing side by side. Everybody keeps saying it bucks wind better but it’s definitely not by much if it does
here is some facts on both 22 & 25 vulcans:
yes the 25. has more power, & bucks the wind better, but the 22. shoots flatter, than the 25.
and is more quite & over twice as many shots as the 25. vulcan.
so for me that what sold me on the 22. over the 25.
what ever one u pick, is up too u, but the vulcan is a great bullpup, u will lov this gun!

The question between the .22 and .25 is an easy answer. Just tell us your intended use for the gun.

The 22 has less total area where wind can affect it. Almost like a thinner knife through butter type of thing.
