Q:

Ugly Babies don’t cry

Wow just showed up at my door the Uncle :hoot: is my favorite!

Pro’s:
Small, light, comes with single tray, very easy to load mags, smooth as butter indexing, accurate as hell, powerful, groups up well and finally it is quiet as a mouse fart. This is everything I really want in my guns out of the box. YES HOME RUN

Cons:
Not as ugly as I thought but not a pretty gun in any sense also there are all kinds of quality or finish details or workmen-ship that the folks at the manufacturer let slip by. Markings on the metal like water spots, scratches and white grayish discoloration on the rubber butt end. All my other bull pups came in aesthetically mint state. Which I expected.

The gun shoots like a 1400.00 pup however the aesthetics leave a lot to be desired. It will be easy to fall in love with this little Ugly Baby it is the JAM. Out of the current flock of PCP’s this will become the go too back yard bitch slapper and neighborhood tool of havoc.

For $1450.00 I expect more in the workmanship finish category however everything else is dead on. It is a Keeper. I will ask the manufacture to send me a few mags on the house to make up for poor finish quality.

Shut up Fox I sent it back to Randy at R&L. The second Baby I got was IMMACULATE! So was the second compact Soze got just Immaculate.

It’s a glossy coat not certain what it is.

Oak your saying they sprayed clear over metal and the clear coat has water marks ? I’ve seen clear over stocks like polyurethane but never over metal ?

Ok then go easy.
Maybe better not then.

Maybe maybe. I have a dremel however the clear gloss coat they use is the problem buffing may make it worse

I know gun smith’s can buff out, scuffs from bluing on metal work.

Maybe try a dremel polishing kit wheel & some & polish, on the bluing.
It may help out.

There maybe hope 4 the little puppy yet.

honestly oakey i think it maybe best to just keep Her…… I know i would.

Not sure why he uses a gloss finish on the gun. it shows everything.

I think you are right D-man maybe have a chat with the maker about this process. The gloss sucks however the gun is right on. The water spot is a gloss cover problem. You can see it more outside in the sun light then inside the house. I love this little gun.

oak,
from what I have seen with the shorty they almost all have discoloration of the butt pad.

I think is’t when they are finshing the ends off.
Meaning I think they glue the rubber butt pad on, then sand the wood & the butt pad at once.

Mine has the same thing just a little, I was thinking of using some fine wett sand paper used from auto body work. That would take care of it. I think they are all good shooters, if your not happy with her send it back.

The barrels seem good on them so far, If u send her back bet you’ll get a shooter again.

I may not send it back Fox. Matter oh fact I am leaning to just letting it go. It has grown on me so quickly this ugly lil baby. I once owned a AA TX200 MK3 might be the nicest springer ever produced. I would not go into the woods with this gun hunting it was so beautiful. The bluing of the steel was superb the metal work in general was gorgeous. The fish scale engraved walnut stocks was flawless. What a gun it became my gun safe gun and it was ballz asp accurate. I SOLD IT! Because I was afraid to handle it and I shot it far less then my other guns because it was my little prissy bitch. So here lies the dilemma over look what should be for what is or don’t. This gun is a keeper!

I will definitely check with Tony about the QC in the upcoming shipment and request an inspection of the gun before I commit to the purchase. I consider the Edgun a benchmark for QC.

Syclone Tony would never have sent out this gun like this he would tell you up front about these things. The kid at R&L told me the gun was beautigul maybe he just over looked these things. The discoloration of the butt pad is glaring. The other issues you have to look alittle harder but they were not hard to spot.

Thank you….
I think lol.

You are a filthy pig Fox.

oak baby,

how about taking a group pic of your bullpups.
before u send her back, if u do.
all layed out, 4 the class, some bullpup porn.

Sprocket I have three scopes with 30mm tubes and I just recently bought two sets of High Rings because I was having issues getting a good cheek weld with my 2 Hawke Side Winders with the Medium Rings. The Vortex Viper is new and I have not even mounted it yet so I am not sure how it will be. It will be going on my Vulcan. I was having some issues the Vortex Diamond Back it’s a 1” tube. Yes it has medium Rings. Most of the time I can get a good cheek weld but it has given issues as well.

As for the poor QC your reasons may all be correct. Honestly I would hate to ship this back and get a gun that is not shooting as well as this. Dman the guy who basically made this gun happen in the USA is having some issues with accuracy, shooting 4 pellets through a ragged hole to the get a flier on the fifth.

I am not happy with the finish. I have 3 other beautiful European made Bull Pups and even the RM3 I purchased used from the Uncle was almost immaculate. I am happy with the way the Baby is shooting. I may wrap it up and ship it back to R&L and request a replacement. I am still weighing that option.

Yes EDgun is simply just a beautiful gun.
The Vulcans finish was also beautiful.
The Cricket as well.
My Evanix 9mm pup not bad but not the same quality of a European gun.
