Q:

I purchased a used Edgun .22 R3M

I just purchased a Used Edgun .22 R3m standard. Anything I need to know about these. I have owned 3 other Eddies only in single shots.

I have put 200 shots through my new Matador R3M (25 cal) and so far, I have had no magazine issues. I cock it just like Ed shows in his Youtube vid.
When chambering the next pellet, I have gotten into the habit of pulling the bolt back with a quick snap. Just two cents worth from a newbie. kevin

As indicated earlier, I am firmly of the opinion, that if you have indexing issues, it is a 90% chance that it is a particular magazine. It sounds like a 3 out of 4 proposition, by what I have gathered, in my research. Perhaps we should show some due diligence and send these back, for a trade, until we have a full compliment that functions properly… Just sayin. Other than that, I am absolutely tickled by my .25 R3M’s performance, post break in period and owner tuning.

Well, I got it Friday. Scoped it, sighted it in, and all I can say is WOW! This thing is nothing like the other 3 singles. The wood is gorgous, the action is easy and smooth, no problems with indexing, very accurate, trigger is sweet, I think I finally found the one.

My .22 never ever skips but my 25 will skip with one magazine. The other 4 I have never skip.

quote bf1956:

sure wish I had one.

Then buy one they are awesome guns no matter what these whiners say.

sure wish I had one.

I repeat, both my R3M’s skip.

However, I have since purchased 2 plates from ridetoad that Ernest will polish and install. Not throwing out my Edguns over this shit, just hoping Ed will fix this and continue to stay on top of the PCP chain.

You should not have any issue with the .22 with indexing, but if the .25 yes!, even with the newer breech.

I’ve tried all kind of stroking, it’s useless. It always skips 😥 Very fucking annoying, especially during a hunt.

I’m a Edgun fanboy and not knocking, just saying.

The biggest difference in my opinion is pulling the bolt. The magazine rotates at the very end of the bolt pull. You need to kind of pull the bolt with some force to make the magazine index. Short stroking the bolt will cause the magazine to skip.
