Okay I’m just a little concerned I’ve read from others that get like 75 shots from 230 to 130 with. 19[album][/album]0 that’s getting out there I’ve shot a JSB pellet can 500ct size at 160 and that was with 15.9 grainers. It took me almost hole clip but I finally got it. There was some wind too but I was pretty happy about that. I killed a big ol crow two days ago 120 yards early in the morning there was absolutely no wind.

Shot count is directly dependent upon feet per second per shot. The faster the pellet goes, the more air you use, the lower your shot count.
The UK guys, using 12 fpe, .177 caliber, will get a couple hundred shots from some of their guns. When you use a larger pellet, go faster, you use more air pressure to achieve this, and your shot count goes down.
If you want a large shot count, reduce your feet per second to the lowest speed that works for you. If you target shoot routinely over a set distance, you may not need 950+ fps, you may get by quite accurately with 700+ fps. In the 1970’s, we shot grasshoppers at 25 yards at 700 fps and seldom missed. We could stack pellets as well from those spring powered guns too. Speed does not equate to accuracy. Don’t get me wrong…it can help if you are shooting longer distances, but in the end, the barrel quality, pellet quality, and shooter’s ability reign supreme.
The best way to achieve your personal best accuracy, and best shot count, is to find the average distance you shoot, then experiment with what pellet speeds achieve the best accuracy for you. It will vary per shooter. Just because you CAN shoot 980 fps and be accurate, does not mean you MUST shoot 980 fps to be accurate!

Frank , with my .25 Vulcan so far without doing any adjustments at all and shooting Kings from 250 Bar to 150 Bar I’am getting
36 shots per fill . So far I have hit my target out to 192 yds.

Frank, I remember that you were having troubles initially with your Vulcan. It sounds as though those problems have been resolved….shooting crow at 120 yds…….that’s awesome. Please report more thanks. :4:
