Off set Shroud For the Vulcan like the .30 Edgun

To keep it short as possible—being long gets ugly!

After being more quieter—that ping got louder—So I lowered the reg to 118b, loosen the VS to noting, added two de pinger in the AT, added nylon washer in the hammer assembly and got a weaker HS to shoot the 18g at 890fps got the ping/hammer slap in 1/2 or at least my ears are not ringing.

Ernest, your take on John’s off set or eccentric shroud?? Just wondering how effective this design will be on a AG shooting +30 FPE!

Very cool Earnest!
Wouldn’t mind hearing Your thoughts on the Vulcan-both the good and bad.

Well let me tell you about the Bad, the rest are good!

1, The Hammer impact and ping is just as loud at the cricket 9mm shooting at 95fpe

2, The mag type are slow to load, I prefer the mutant, cricket, Edgun open slot that you can speed load.

3, The trigger rod end turn buckles are hard to access/remove

4, Don’t like the brass bushing on the hammer slamming on the action just to have a de bouncing device–yes the hammer is free floating, the Hammer spring full tension rest on the brass bushing that rest on the action not on the valve stem. and thats most of the impact noise coming from and even after changing the brass bushing to a long deline bushing only change so slightly.

other then that a great shooting BP

Thanks for your thoughts Earnest.
I don’t care for the twang but have gotten use to it. No doubt it would be better without it and neighbors aren’t a issue for me.
As I am a hunter more than a shooter I do appreciate the magazine in that you don’t have to index it, pellets can’t fall out and are somewhat protected, the ease of insertion, and you know when it is empty. I can easily see why many or even most would prefer the open type without spring tension type magazine.
As for the other inerds you mentioned I will take your word for them. The trigger on mine is pretty nice,IMO, as set from the factory and to be honest, with it’s short length I don’t want a super light trigger so haven’t messed with it.

Any chance you will be working on a version for a Matador?

Very nice. Can you post a pic of the full gun sideway!
And how much would it delay my retirement?

Shroud is a photo type–not for sale yet!
