New to hobby, Talon SS or Talon P
hi,
i bought a AF condor model 1 oversea in SE ASIAN, its very hard to get purchase one. Now, im back in the States and would like to purchase an AF air gun. i would like to do some basic mod and a custom paint job to blend with the outdoor. I’m mostly intersting in made the air gun silence and lightest as possible because I’ll be using it for mostly game birds hunting. I have been readind that the stock Talon P is loud and Talon SS is a very good air gun. I’m thinking about purchasing the .25 or .22 model. I would like for any advices and guidances for Talon owners. Thank you for your time. An

thank you everyone, that lighter tank and the drop down adapter look awsome. ill be going to hunt some small games like mourning dove and quails. is there anyone willing to sell their talon ss .22 please pm me. what’s the range on how much i will be spending? thanks

I just added drop down adapter,condor valve and lighter tank. 5.5lbs .25 cal. Great additions to my TalonSS.
There is not much left on an AF rifle, they are pretty down to the core.
The only heavy part that you can replace is the tank.
There is a vendor here (can’t remember the name, but you can search it) that sells lighter tanks.

thienan 23 , for general plinking , bird shooting , target shooting I would suggest that you get a Talon SS in .22 cal. with an R&L Maddog stock .
Then add a Tony Tunes Talon hammer with slap mods . , then add a Tony Tunes 9 ” LDC for noise reduction . I did this and the backyard friendly
shooting was very , very nice . Call Tony and tell him what you want your gun to do and he will make it perfect for you . I hope my input will
give you something to work with .

thanks, what type of mods do i need in order to get it lighter?
The TalonSS with the 12″ barrel has some shroud and the new models have sound suppression.
I believe the TalonSS also has more aftermarket shrouds ready for additional suppression.
The .25 has a lot more power and will be noisier too.
The caliber choice will depends on the game you plan to hunt.
If you are going for wild turkeys, go with a 25, but if you are hitting sparrows, a 22 is more than plenty.
