Q:

9 oz CO2 bottle

Has anyone used a 9 oz bottle on their Talon? I was wondering if the butt plate strap would fit it. The 12 oz bottle is too big for the strap.

If you look at the photo I posted above you will notice that the extra tank also has a 1/4″ aluminum disk epoxied to the end. This disk has a threaded hole in it to allow use of the old AirForce straigth butt plate. Before making the slip-on stock I had a vinyl cover that slipped over the tank and used the AirForce butt plate.

I tried the paintball butts, but they were too small to fit the tank. For a while I used nylon ties to hold the buttplate onto the tank. I now am experimenting with a leather shim on the clam. Unfortunately, so far one is too thick and the other is too thin, but it shows promise.

I really like the 9 oz bottle compared to a 12 oz.

I wanted a drop in the shoulder stock so I built a stock from a pvc tube. It is a snug fit on the 9-oz. bottles.

Thanks, I forgot about them.
