How to degas the lelya air reservoir?
I’m looking for a degas tool for new lelya air tube. Can someone help?

I found this to be this case when degassing my .25 Matador. I shot the gun down to 70ish bar and it started to lightly imprint on the brass nut. At around 90 bar I didn’t run into any issues. I would agree that shooting the gun would down that far would not be smart and would most likely damage the gun.
I have repaired 5 Edguns just for that reason, when pressure to low the hammer will imprint the hammer edge on the brass nut and if done enough it will make the hole of the 2mm smaller or ablong and affect the rod clearance or no clearance that will cause wear and tear and more air will escape between the rod and brass. Like taking a small hammer and taping on the brass –done enough will damage the hole.
Your better off unscrewing the guage till it start to hiss when the Oring has pass the Oring sealing surface, then stop— you have another 3 turns till guage fully unscrewed, done it so many time — even the Oring didn’t get damage. It’s not going to blow the guage out the door!
It has one built in… cock it and dry fire it until you hear a constant hiss of air and then crack the breach open without cocking it and wait till the hissing stops.. job done. the hammer spring will hold the valve open at about 50bar. You will need to cock the hammer to refill it from empty again.

I hear what your saying but have never had that happen on mine. I could only see that as an issue if it was done repeatably with no air at all in it. The Veles doesnt have a gauge like the Lelya so dry firing is the only way to empty it.
