Q:

Edgun Short just had twins, naming both little girls Lelya

New baby girls just arrived safe and sound. Posting the Edgun web site specs for those having trouble reading their manuals in Russian. I am going to break from the crowd and will be throwing a holographic sight on them to experiment with it’s use this evening I hope. Since I use these compact little jewels at close range as in <30 yards 90 % of the time, I think I can adapt using holdover to do just fine and the sights are so compact I feel they will complement the guns. Plus the are just quick and fun to use. I picked up one of the better models of a Sight Mark Sights to test the concept and if it works out I will order New Eotech’s for them. Both guns arrived with a matching 175 Bar in the tubes and in perfect beautiful condition.

Update: On my .25, Mine had the slide blow back as well, was easily fixed with the turn of the Allen head screw in the back of the slide assy. as mentioned in the other thread here on the TAG, I also agree it turns too easy to likely hold a set so i would give it a dot of blue locktite. No Chrony testing for a few days as I am just too preoccupied to set up my little indoor range but I got 22 shots from 210 bar down to 100 bar for reference. looking at ED’s specs posted below, I am going to guess the design and reg. are set up to shoot down to 110 bar so likely a 20 shot gun, I am very !! happy with this if it turns out to be. I had previously stated 10 to 15 shots would be ok with me if it turned out to be as well. Sounded the same top to bottom but could of been falling off on FPS without me detecting it by ear.

I have an aimpoint pro on my powderburner. prefer it to eotech. you can also get small swing away magnifiers for them. 3,4,5x i think.

aimpoints are similar width to a scope.

Size is about the same as eotech, It is a bit wide, an Aimpoint might be more suitable as I believe they have a narrower format. It is a bit of a test to see if I like it on an air gun and thus far I do not like not being able to see my pellet holes. It is much more bothersome than expected. Once I am done sighting and tuning I think it will be great for birding and small game type shooting for the close range these guns are best suited for. Knowing your gun and hold over or under up to 40 yards is doable in order to not hang a big scope on these Lelyas. At least I hope so. If not I will buy another March.

Got any better pics of that Sightmark? An EOTech would be cool and much cheaper than another March scope but is it too wide looking on you Lelya? TalonTune had one on a Mutant short and while it looks nice, to me it’s a tad wide.

Which model were you looking at? EOTech XPS2-2 with the dual dots?

Stock are or appear to be the same on the new guns. You about have to look at the end of the Mod to know which is which. I have not really shot the 22 more than a couple shots but sound is about the same. I just popped each 22 out the window a couple of times each and not much difference at all really, a tiny bit of hard to describe tone on the two different mods among the .22’s but I imagine the larger volume mod. on the new guns allows more suppression on the .25

I did not realize until positioning the guns for this picture that the older lelya is more petite in the butt area, about 1″ more compact, all the rest of the dimensions are comparable all the way to the muzzle. The new guns just seem like an advanced design with using the offset mod and taking the scope rail out in front further, I think the action’s design might be better but I have not encountered problems with my old one other than replacing one of the detent balls one time. Tony just sent me a new one when I needed it.

Is it only an optical “distortion” of the picture or are the two stocks slightly different in size?

How do they compare to the original Lelya?

Nice looking guns congrats!

Very nice looking pair of guns!
