Q:

My first time shooting and its a edgun:)

Okok I have owned a Webley raider10 but I never shot a pellet through it before I traded it away.
I purchased me a edgun used in sweet condition with 5 mags.
I put me a vortex crossfire2 6-18×44 AO scope on it.I used some crossman .22 hollow point premiers for today’s first time out.
Ooh yeah shooting at 27 yards.(in a subdivision best I can get)
I have no crony and the wind is blowing at 5mph to the left.I’ve never even sighted a scope in before soo I know I got alot of tweaking to do.
I started at the top and shot 2 clips in each grouping till I got to the bottom target.
Here’s pictures.:)
I got alot to learn I bet.:)

I’ve shot about 30 mags worth after the skipping stopped and still no issues. I will write it off as operator error.
I’m shooting from 200 bar to 100 bar and getting 10 mags worth before I top off again.I’m totally stoked over getting 100 shots worth before topping off again.I have 2 full 80 cf scuba tanks as well as 2 88cf 4500psi carbon fiber tanks full.:)I think I’m gonna need more pellets.:)

On mag advance concerns, just switch the lever to turn it off and move it one click at a time with your finger to let it fall into the detent to test the theory before making any modifications. It has been a bit finiky on the mag advance in the past and certainly tied to bolt retraction speed.

Thanks Ernest and Keyser! :thumb:

Honestly the plastic mags are much better. I have never had an issue while using them.

just by looking at your mags you have a over rotating mag issue and most are clipping the brass bushing that is affecting your groups, at 27Y norm is less then a dine hole, reduce the mag advance lever output.

How can you reduce the mag advance lever output that is a PITA of some R3M and makes the gun unreliable?

This would be very interesting to know! :8:

Thanks in advance Ernest

If consistent slow pull on the bolt don’t fix the over rotations.

slowly remove some metal on the mag advance lever– the area where it make contact with the mag when its being rotated, when that lever is fully cock position the lever will stop when it hit the side of the action body. when you grind to remove some metal keep the same angel parallel with the mag– it will reduce in how fare the lever push the mag to limit the rotation.

The mag skipping issue went away around the 7th or 8th mag .the skipping also may have been more me being inconsistent on the bolt action because after I got into a smooth and repeated pull all was 100% .:)I will keep watch on it to see if it starts up again.
All the shooting I done was off the shoulder unsupported because my chair is way too high to brace my self on my table.

What bipod do you recommend for the 75$ to 200$ range?
What lube do I need for any moving parts?
What benchrest or shooting bags ?
What chronograph?
Lol and ooh what bullpup for the wife?:) and no I cannot afford another edgun ,gotta go a bit cheaper this time.
P12?
Jkhann?
Evanix?

Thanks guys

The exact kings .25 might be tough to chamber since your Edgun is a .22 however these guns were built around the jsb pellet so 18 grain jsb in .22 might be best

Nice first gun! Try some JSB .22 18.1gr pellets, that is what these guns were built to shoot.

Nice wow you started with a very nice set up I had to work my way up to the hard stuff
Nice gun Edgun very accurate most like jsb try groups will tighten up
