Q:

Condor SS .25 70GR Mambas help please

Hello,

I own a 2013 Condor SS in .25. It has the factory 18″ barrel .

I’m wanting to install a 1 piece tophat, hammer with slap mod and also install a 24″ barrel that I already have in hand. I’ve been told that I could better shoot the 70gr black mambas out of the 24″ barrel.

My question is if I install the 24″ barrel do I just install a shroud where the endcap used to be in order to stay silent?

I’m looking at a trade here on the forums and the member has a 8.5″ shroud with no makers name on it. Is that the length I need and will I still be using the baffles from the original 18″ barrel?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Dan

No problem! And yes, my bad, you did start it yesterday. This forum goes through phases where it will be very active and then “fall off” for a few days. You should contact Tony at Talon Tunes regarding your question about the shroud fitment. He will have the correct answer for you and is usually pretty quick to respond.

Actually, I opened this thread yesterday morning. I realize that this does not have the traffic of a Winchester forum but I expected that someone had info regarding my questions…I have been trying to find out answers to these well described questions for approaching a year. Wildfire, thanks for your loan(and friendly) input on these questions.

DUDE! Ya gotta give people a chance to reply to your post. You only opened this thread this morning.
Although I don’t have an answer for you regarding the shroud ( I don’t own an SS ), I can tell you that YES, the 24″ barrel will push the “Mamba’s” faster.
I run an 18″ shrouded (R&L) barrel and my rig groups the Black Mamba’s very well.
