Yrrah, Hoot, Soze, Lurker…Magnificent Yodas of the Airgun world :8:
I Need help with BC of the new JSB King Heavy 33.95gr as I can’t find the pellet in Chargun. Also, if I could have access to your magnificent and superior Air Propelled Projectile Knowledge (APPK)? What is the optimal velocity to shoot this pellet to maintain the best stability down range to 100 + yards? And the same for the JSB Exact King 25.39gr please? :4: By the way I am shooting at or very near Sea level most of the time, I’d say anywhere from 15 feet to 70 feet above Sea level if that should affect your response.

Thanks guys…Harry’s post on the Yellow is what I’m looking for, remember reading it somewhere couldn’t remember lol. Soze my gun came out of box shooting Kings at 889 fps, King Heavy at 784 fps. I think I will leave it alone. I’ve got about 400 shoots down range at this point. I’ll chrono again after I finish my current tin. Again GKU and Soze thanks for the help. :8: :4:

I found .0351 was what my Vulcan put out shooting 920 at sea level using the AA 25.4 pellets. I am able to use this BC from 50 all the way out to 190 yards. To shoot past 190 yards the BC needs to be worked out differently.

The odd thing is I need less predicted drop past 200 yards, which leads me to think that the king’s BC is improved at slower speed. The drag function is better a little slower. I extrapolated that the Kings perfect BC speed may be 890 fps at sea level. I don’t have any data to back that up yet.

I was using bc 0.360 for the 25.4 but that may be a fudge as I couldn’t find it either.
Chairgun has a method of calculating BC so be sure to post it in the General topic because a lot of shooters would like to compare their results.
