Q:

Flip open lenscaps for ao scopes?

Are there any flip open lenscaps that can “spin” or something to make them appropriate for ao scopes? or am I stuck with caps that are connected via string that you have to remove completely before use?

Sounds like they work for you. My experience is different, I wouldn’t buy them again.

I’ve had couple pairs of Butler creek caps and do not recommend them for anything you will carry in the field. They just don’t stand up.

I never had an issue or lost one in 20+ years.

I have noticed a lot of guys that show there guns have a scope cap with a red button on it,
If that many guys are using the same scope cap its got to be good,
I do not know what its called or where to get them, Maybe some will chime in here.

They aren’t cheap, but Tenebrex makes high quality flip-up lens caps that allow you to to spin/re-position easily after they are installed.

This is what I mean when I say string connected

But I want the caps to stay on the scope in a good way, like flip up covers
