Need a reference for "Mike Martin"….email sale
He has a TalonP at a good price, but has no forum connections. I asked for references, but he assured me he was “an honest guy” and wants to do a Paypal sale.
The gun is a 13 month old TalonP, Spin-loc tank, new style safety, and an after=market ldc. My concern is the price he is asking is very competitive for what he is selling.
I’ve never heard of the guy. I’ve asked for his phone number and physical mailing address in case I use a USPS money order. I’ll see if he responds to that request.
My “inner hoot” is warning me about anything too good to be true, usually is too good to be true!
I’ll check Paypal and see what how long he has been a member.
Other ideas? I thought of using a “consignment” third party delivery/payment service, but don’t know anyone who does that…also C.O.D is a possibility. That way I can at least confirm I get a box before I open it and pay.

If you pay with PayPal you are covered. But make sure you don’t send money as a gift.

Certainly smells funny! I reported him to Paypal and they have tagged his account for surveillance. They indicated it sounded like a very questionable transaction. I’ll just keep my distance and be very careful in the future.
