T20 Ir 850 works well to 35 yards
I finally got all stuff to assemble my NV scope. I tried T20 Ir torch and it worked so well to my 35 yards backyard.

There has been a bit going on over this camera as of late, so here is something you can try that I’m sure will help.
Go into your SHUTTER/AGC select MANUAL
SHUTTER select 4FLD it goes down below 1/60fps….4FLD..
I bet that helps quite a bit…
I could recommend the Angel Eye dvr (ebay 60-70 bucks)
But I won’t, its a flakey little gadget that is hard to get all setup.
The menu stinks and mine drains its battery when left in the unit, so I need to take out the battery when not in use..so incorrect timestamp all the time..so I just turned timestamp off.
Once all the little crap is all figured out, it does work pretty well.

I think your right on the Black Sun, a UK light builders brand name, but a T20 is a good light and all you will need out to a few hundred yards.
I would suspect the camera you have now is a fake not an Effio E CCD sensor, there is a lot of that that goes on on Ebay and Amazon. They advertise as a Effio or HAD CCD II sensor. But you get a Cmos camera, which explains why its only good to 30-40 yards. Even a real Effio is ok to 100 yards with a T20.
You did remove the IR filter correct?

If your happy with shooting out to 35 yards in your backyard then your good.
If you ever want to upgrade, then the E700 is simple the best camera under $100 bucks to get the job done.
I believe it’s a good one. But it may not be avail. in US.

and a Black sun ir pill , I was able to see small game upto 350 yds (rabbits).
Just in the process of building another NV, When health issues dont get in way.
That’s a pretty budget camera, as the T20 is a good light and is good out to a few hundred yards.
As an airgunner for short range barn hunting and backyard shooting its just fine.
Now hook up a DVR to your setup and record us all some videos.

I found almost every zoom camera lens I have used has a substantial amount of shift through the zoom range. This is not an issue if your if your placing it behind a reticle such as behind a normal scope. But if your planning on using a digital reticle of some description it can be a big issue. I keep thinking of seeing if I can get one of those thermal cameras from a scrapped luxury car up and running on my rifle. Saves spending a few thousand on similar spec kit new, though no idea how good it would actually be.
