Q:

CO2 – Pros and Cons

I just ordered a Talon SS .22 and the AF CO2 connecter and a 9 oz. CO2 bottle are included in the price. What are the good and bad things about using CO2? I’ve been using a Marauder with the small air venturi carbon fiber bottle for about a month and I’m hoooked on PCP guns. I’ve read that you get a lot of shots with CO2 at lower power. Thanks

I use CO2 for indoor shooting and it has worked well. I just recently switched to a 9 oz bottle, locally all I could find was a 12 oz and just never liked the extra diameter. So far I have not shot a tank empty, I usually get worried and get it filled, but I do have a spare.

Right now, I am setting up my Talon to shoot indoor silhouettes, which take place between 10 – 20 yards. Quite a trick with a high mounted scope. Learning a lot about adjusting a scope.

I also have a Talon with CO2 and my reason was I had a CO2 refill tank already. Just recently I purchased a Talon P and hand pump as a intro to HPA. The CO2 gun is good in the warm weather or basement lots of shots. Since I have an air pump I have purchased a small regulated HPA tank to try on the CO2 adapted gun with good results.
