Wanting into PCP..questions
I have been reading for awhile and studing several different guns but keep coming back to the TalonP, I’m wondering is there a special hold for shooting pcp like there is in the break barrel world. Really like tagdagger’s micro lite kit for these, like the power of 25cal and the compactness of the P, plenty of other choices but the size of this is what I like, open to other suggestions. Thanks

Nope, I dont think its that great a deal. You can find used scuba tanks or even better yet used scotts scba tanks that have much greater volume of air for under the same price if ya look around.
The Ninja is only gonna get ya a few precious refills before ya have to return to get the Ninja refilled. A scuba or scba will keep ya going for a few refills every night for a whole week before having to go back and get it filled.
Speaking of tanks…I have a local paintball shop that I’ve talked to he has a ninja tank setup for a good deal regulated output @2900psi, are these any good…at $219 I don’t think it’s bad.
I sold all the other airguns I had FOR PCP rifles and pistols. It is the only way too shoot, PROVIDED you have a Dive Store nearby to fill your SCUBA tank. Pumps are for the young guys with good backs and patience! Also make sure you get the proper “Fill Station” for the hook-up on your tank. Also having a smaller bottle to take to the field for refills is a great idea. I have a full size pick-up and carry two scuba tanks in a carrying fixture, so don’t worry about a portable bottle.
I’d also recommend buying a $200+ scope. The AF line of rifles and pistol shoot very accurately when you find the right pellet and the correct power wheel setting.
Leapers or Hawke are the best value for the money in “my” opinion.

you will love PCPs, but you must know it requires a few expensive devices to start up.
You will need a high pressure pump and/or a scuba tank set for refilling your gun.
You should check if there is a scuba tank refill station in your area.
The pump can be hard if you are not strong or heavy. It requires some effort and patience and maintenance.
I am saying this cause a lot of people come here, spend the money and then bitch about it.
PCPs are probably the most versatile platform for shooting, tinkering and having fun, but it might get expensive if you make too many wrong choices or don’t listen to the many good advice you can find here.

Its because airforce guns are loved! Lol keep your eyes peeled and you can come across killer deals!
Would love to find one used and I’ve seen “hoot” is in hot pursuit of one, you can find deals in marauders and disco’s but not so much luck in the airforce stuff, I’ll keep saving and hope I can run across a deal one of these days!
No special holds like with springers. Be warned pcps are a whole nother level of shooting fun. You can build them anyway you want and the power potential and accuracy is insane.

How do you know what to look for in buying a used tank like a Scott tank other than the hydro date, and what about the valve on a Scott tank what does it take to be used on a pcp…thanks for the help guys
