3000 shots and 1.5 years later (Condor magic)
I have been a chronic lurker of this site for 2 years and bought my first Airforce airgun 1.5 years ago (a Condor). I only started shooting it about 7 months ago and I found that out of the box it was not my cup of tea. I was looking for a short, light , accurate, simple and powerful carbine with a decent shot count to hunt rabbits and squirrels with. I have numerous air rifles and compete and hunt with them but I did not have the hunting rifle that I desired. I am not a fan boy of bullpups and most of those are also heavier than I wanted. After 1.5 years of acquiring parts, I finally accomplished the original task. The last parts from TT came last week and I am happy to say the least.

After much experimentation, I found the sweat spot. This thing gets about 67 consistant shots at about 36.5 Ft.Lbf with a 12 inch barrel. I did not think that was possible out of such a light shooter with a short inefficient barrel. It uses air for this shot count from 3600 psi to 2200 psi (TT tank with altros reg maxed out). The delerin washer behind the tophat makes it more efecient. It shoot about 1 min of angle at 40 yards which is well within minute of squirrel head at 30. Although it is not mouse fart quiet with the soundloc baffles, the pellet strike on the squirrel is louder than the report of the airgun. I can not wait to put the 24 inch barrel on to see what it will do.

Thank you TT for the wonderful parts (I have many on this shooter) and thank you all for the information that I have gained from this forum. I now have the hunting airgun I have desired for the better part of a decade.

These tanks are not terribly fragile unless you throw them around. They are aluminum wrapped in high tension carbon fibre that is bedded in ressin. you need to protect the carbon and keep it from fuzing up. I wrapped mine in electrical tape to keep the butstock from twisting and did not clamp it too tight. it seems solid.
