Added versions for MIL/MIL scopes and some minor tweaks for MOA targets.
The Vulcan magazine matching 9, 11, & 13 row targets are for 10 meters.
The 20 meter target has 8 rows.
At specified range, the large circles are 0.5 MRAD in diameter
Fine grid lines are 0.1 MRAD to match 0.1 MRAD/click turrets
Current version has lighter grade lines.
I like to shot a couple rows and then examine impact points. I can visually see the average vertical error looking across a horizontal row. Similarly if I shoot a column, I can see the horizontal error tendency. Since the grid lines are essentially 1 click 1/4 MOA click, I read the number of error grid lines to know how many clicks to zero out my error tendencies.
This target and method lets every shot “vote” equally in measuring shooting error. In contrast, aiming at the same point and looking at grouping tends to ignore all the pellets that go through the same hole. You only see the effect he extremes rather than mean targeting.
It is often surprising to examine the target up close. From shooting position, it’s easy to be fooled by what you see. Get right up to the target and examine the rows/columns and I learn how I am actually deviating and can systematically dial in correction.
