Jaime’s tester can be used for the Cricket, Edgun and the Mutant / an adapter that he makes also.
If he added a atmospheric breather hole, it will not properly align with the 3 deferent reg lengths, thus making it (non universal) only work on one reg type/brand.
The hole is to test the 2 small internal O-rings, but I find that if you change/replace them they don’t need to be tested to see if they can hold the pressure.

I have hand pump too. No problemo there :fishing: I have small 4l 300bar scuba tank but I use a pump is for free. I´m lazy to goes fill the tank :biggrinn:

i think it would be cheaper to machine an adaptor which fits into the vent hole. i was looking into airbrush adaptors but i think they are wrong threading. still no one know the thread size??

I´m asked why some reg tester has one small hole in part where reg is situated. Is necessary to make it there?

Yep Jaime it´s true. I see on some regulator testers one hole which is situated in place regulator. Why is that hole there please?
Cricket and edgun…. within a few thousand of an inch…. They work together..
Vulcan is much bigger 1.2204″ vs ED 1.1960″
Mutant is 1.0605…. (can make sleave to fit vulcan or ed reg testers.)
If i were to make a sleave to put cricket reg in a vulcan tester…. it would have a very thin wall…. around .0120″ and that worry me so that is why i make separate tester.
When I ordered mine from Jaime I think he said the cricket and mutant are the same and the Edgun different again. So if I order a different brand I have to figure the cost of another tester.
Unfortunately… That was my first question to Jaime if i will able to test both regulators cricket& Vulcan. I got negative answer. Ernest explain it correctly.

John’s tester is very nicely built. The machining quality on mine is superb. The build is so fine you can barely see the seam in the cylinder. Gauge is fluid filled. Made setting the regulator much quicker than shooting and measuring velocities. The only gotcha was the left hand thread for opening the tester. I tried in vain to open mine. Thought it was seized. Nope, just twist it the other way!
Last I had contact with John, he was also making ones that were multi-gun compatible. Hopefully, he will make more.
