Variability- gauges on air bottle and Gun.
Have just had my scuba bottle gauge tested against an extremely accurate commercial digital gauge. My bottle 12 litre at 300 bar . The gauge is overreading throughout by 10 bar. Therefore an assumed fill at 230 bar is actually 220 bar. Probably explaining poor shot count . How much error on the tiny Vulcan gauge could there be? Hmm.

Having read my Vulcan gauge several times at 11 shot increments I would say it is real close at top fill and refill levels compared to the big gauges on my adjustable regulator. The Vulcan 11 shot readings are not perfectly linear in mid range but usually within 5 bar at mid use range.

Tony has new Talon Tunes gages that could work to replace the ones on the gun. Mine on gun shows 10 bar less than what’s in the tube. I’m wondering if I should change it. But I’m used to the metric gages so I better not.

Mine doesn’t match my gauge on my great white. I trust my bottle gauge before I do my Vulcan gauge.

Would agree that readings checked after say each mag( 9 on my .25) are not proprtional/linear. But regulator drop off at reading 160 seems consistent. Issue really is the very tiny spacing between spacing on Vulcan. What is shot count at 250 bar fill,240,230,220,210,200 ? My gun with 25 grain kings at 220 appx is in region of 36-40 before reg drop off , appx 890-900 fps.
