257 Condor Barrel Removal
Hey all, I bought a 257 barrel from R&L almost 2 years ago. I installed it and never did anything with it after that. Recently motivated, I’m trying to finish it up and get some lead through it. (especially after reading some of the LONG DISTANCE success stories from this caliber.
Unfortunately, I can’t remember how to get the barrel out! Ahhhhh.
Please help? I do believe it doesn’t remove from the muzzle but from the breech. But again, it was 2 years ago.

When I get a chance, I’ll take some pics. When I got it, it was .25 but had tank, valve and breech for .257. I put the .25 in a different gun and ordered a .257 barrel. I’d really like to find a really nice .257 that’s all set up with Dougs valve…and just a clean, nicely done rig.
Everything has to come out the rear then. Can you post a pic of the gun? Sounds like roachcreeks old gun that I did. But is was .25 and not .257
Apparently, this is one of the “extended” bodies that someone cut and added an additional length using some sort of adaptive sleeve on the inside and some JB weld. All set now. Bit of a pain though, having to take so much apart everytime to get the barrel out.
I got it! Awesome! It wasn’t coming out of the muzzle for some reason so I figured out how to remove it from the breech. It’s in the vice now. I’ve put about 3 minutes worth JB compound in it so far. After finishing with the compound and then cleaning patches, what would everyone suggest using for final polishing?
From the muzzle. Remove the forearm grip and the 4 bushing screws. Then the one on the frame end cap. To remove the hammer and spring you have to remove the screw on the power wheel. Then everything will come out except breech.
