I have a regulator that goes between the tank and the gun. Regards, Tom

quote tkerrigan:

The speed of the 145gr noslers is 860fps at 3200psi regulated.

Regulated? Aren’t the regulated models limited to the smaller ammo?

That’s good to hear. How did they shoot? Most of the comments I’ve seen indicate that the gun has been set up for 125g ammo (shooting in the 900s, I think). Did you try any other ammo (it ships with some 125g ammo, doesn’t it)?

My slayer is supposed to be here “any day now” so I’m just waiting anxiously.

Very nice!!!

Pictures and numbys when you get a chance please? 😉

Mine’s here, just put a scope on it yesterday and sighted in at 9 yards to get horizontal lined up. One hole at that distance of course. Used 145gr Noslers, will have some 127gr Hunterssupply’s Monday or Tuesday just in time for better weather I hope. I’ll go out in a bit and see how fast the Noslers are. I’ll put a bi pod on it also, as the grip makes using my rest too awkward. Regards, Tom

Well, it’s going to be a while. Although they have said on GTA forum that they ship 3-4 weeks after order, the reality is quite different. For example, #13 of the original orders has not yet shipped, even though it was invoiced and paid almost 8 weeks ago.

A bunch of folks are watching, waiting and ready to buy one once there are more than a few reviews and some time tested reliability reports. It’s hard not to order a Slayer with the funds ready and set aside, but new designs in anything warrant patience, be it trucks or guns.

They probably don’t want to repeat the fiascos of Edgun, FX, and KalibrGun on fails. 😉

They are ‘getting them out slowly, I’m pretty sure that there are less that a dozen of the production guns shipped at this point. It’s a small operation and they seem to be paying a lot of attention to each gun before it goes out.

AGW is talking about the regulated pellet version that will be out in the summer. He’s just super impatient…

Yes I was speaking of the sportpup pellet gun and yes I’m impatient still what ever became of these guns ????

I like the looks of the Slayer, but the biggest thing all these manufacturers are missing is the forward cocking action.

I had the pleasure of handling and shooting the prototype last year at the GTA Fun Shoot. AWESOME! Not only is it powerful, it is very accurate and the craftsmanship is top shelf. I have not had the pleasure of shooting an Edgun, but it would have to be incredible to truly compare with the Slayer. Also, the Slayer is made in USA! (wave flag here)

The only thing that I did not like about it is that the cocking lever is back at the shoulder as it is in most of what I call first generation bullpups. This is just a personal thing. My preference is for the cocking mechanism to be located closer to the trigger as in what I call the second generation, so as to not require me to be a contortionist or remove it from my shoulder to cock it.

I believe that the first batch of 10 are being shipped, the second batch of ten are supposed to be out in about a month. My understanding is that these are unregulated. The regulated guns are not out yet, but my understanding was that the regulated guns would be .22, .25 and .30 caliber; I haven’t heard anything about them doing a regulated version of the .357.
