king heavy.25/reg pressure.
what would be a good reg pressure these heavy 2.2g pellets? (std r3m .25cal). Now the factory settings (130bar) it shoots 265m/s. I want to get the speed around 275-280m/s. would 150 bar reg settings enough to raise the speed to 275-280m/s.??

yes king heavy gave these numbers. cocking is almost the same as before tuning. 220-150bar gives the two magazines (18 shots). I need to try 130bar reg and without valve spring.

Wow, 300 m/s with heavy kings?
That is a LOT of energy coming from a std.
Keep an eye on the tube pressure, do not shoot under reg.
The hammer wil hit the bronze nut hard.
Maybe lower the reg pressure some, it will give a couple of shots more.
How is the cocking of the hammer?
Good grooping at 275 was my friends conclusion to.
I have been shooting 50 grn cast bullits witch give about a 110 joule.
But till now the pellets are better at grooping.

That’s not so weird. The valve opens faster and wider, so the pellet will be “kicked” a bit more, as in a springer. That is more efficient than a “slowly” rising pressure.
I took the valve spring off and these speeds I got my .25 std and king heavy 2.2g. but the best accuracy found 275m/s. weird that std shoots so hard? pretty good gruup 50m.
I got the idea from Leo Bokkum.
I tried with a lighter spring and without spring.
Both worked fine but with the (lighter) spring I could not reach 295 m/s. @ 150 bar.

Original valve without valve spring, 150 bar.
Make sure to give the hst less tension before testing.
Cock the hammer before filling the first time from zero.
The old housing:
glue the pilar of the valve spring to the middle section to prefent the valve from falling in to the middle section,
when there is no tube pressure.
OR keep the gun in upright position during assembling. 😉
The new housings do not have the pilar.
This might also be a solution for the .30?

I do not know how about other barrel brands.
If you planned to shoot at 150 bar for a long time,
maybe it is an idea to remove the valve spring.
It saves a lot of hst and your valve won’t breakdown that fast.
Also check your probe rings, they should be 90 shore.

I think it will do for the std.

my settings for the edgun .25 long is about 140 maybe 145 bar ..makes about 275 m/s at least.
i turned it back to 270 m/s thats enough for me.. at 75 meters it makes tight groups.
it is a much better pellet than the jsb king for now.
