Sorry I don’t do .308 anymore. It’s pretty much a custom build because so much has to be done.

So how about how much would it cost for someone to make there condor a .308? With your valve and barrel and breech as a kit?

D 100 , since you are one of the best authorities on the larger calibers I’m assuming that AirForce is trying to push a new caliber Texan on to
the consumer with their given data that really isn’t completely true . I know that all companies need to make improvements on the products
that they sell in order to make more money . What I don’t get is why they do not talk to the people who really know the field that they are
shooting in and involve them in the improvement of their products . They , because they make the product expect everyone to believe that
they alone are the experts and everyone should believe every thing they say about their product is true without questions . My 2 cents on this .

All ready claiming bigger numbers then they already claim. Airforce already said the .308 is approaching 300 fpe and the .357 is 350 fpe on there own flyer.

I saw a pic from shot show and they both look to be using 36″ barrels and I guarantee the the numbers they are getting are with over weight bullets just like the with the Texan.

Shooting slugs in the 700 fps range is great to get big numbers but in the real world is not practical. That’s what the texan does and I can see them doing the same here. Basically the trajectory of a rainbow.

I have had a .308 for years and I know what it takes to make 300 fpe. In the real world I shoot 112 gr bullets at a little over a 1000 fps for just over 253 fpe. It shoots out to 300 yds easy. If I shoot 158 gr I can make 300 fpe but not on 3000 psi. Takes 3400 psi.

Now if I would shoot 200 gr bullets it would do it easy. But them you are lowering your fps and going to loose a lot of distance. I have some 194 gr slugs I should see what they do. I’m sure there in the 850-860 fps area.
