De-cocking and Unloading
Hey guys, I am the new owner of an escape ul .25 and was wondering about what you all do to unload and de-cock your airguns.
I am new to the airforce airguns I just purchased my escape about three weeks ago. The only thing I am not fond of about this gun is the inability to de-cock it. I have read that the older talon p could be de-cocked and I assume the older condor and talons. My question is can I mod this gun to be able to de-cock it.
The other question is about unloading. When I hunt I assume I am like everyone else I don’t always have the opportunity take an animal. It just seems like a waste to shoot the gun every time I get done hunting or change location. For one it is a waste of air and a waste of ammo. Do any of you guys unload somehow. Or do you all just shoot your gun to unload. If you do unload how do you do it and what do you do with the pellet do you toss it or reuse it. Just looking for so input on this. Thanks guys.

To de-cock:
open and lock open the breech.
Point the gun in a safe direction.
Hold the breech with your thumb and pull the trigger.
The hammer will be released and will start pushing on the breech.
Ease the breech/hammer down to close position.
There is no way to unload unless you shoot or use a rod to push the pellet out (waste)
I usually de-cock and either find a safe spot later or shot it out on my target in the backyard when I get home.
Sometimes I just leave the round in until the next hunt.
Kinda like muzzle-loading 🙂
