a puff of air on the cheek; which o-ring to replace
I get a puff of air on my cheek when I shoot. Otherwise the gun holds air. Which o-ring do I replace, if that’s the cure?

thanks for the advice Larry. Last I checked, no fucked up anvils. Appreciate the tip. That ought to simplify the process quite a bit.
Keyser, what’s the BC of a good dowel? Maybe I can simulate shooting arrows with my Eddy? :winkn:

I waited until I found a good review before diving in to get the pre-order price of $319.00 shipped. The gun has some nice features that fit my tinker-jones. You get what you pay for, but if the review is on the level, this gun might be a sleeper.

The best way to put it back is to get a wood dowel that is close to the same size as the caliber of barrel you have. Slide the dowel from the muzzle to the breech until it sits right where the O ring cut out is in the breech. Then molykote the ring, fold it in half and push it down the breech hole. A dentist pick can be used to ensure the ring is seated properly.
Just remember to remove the dowel before shooting :rofl:
No need to disassemble the gun. Just remove the bolt carrier, two screws then use a dental pick or plastic fork tine and some patience to replace the oring.
Your success rate my be poor if you have ever fucked up an ANVIL.

a quick update: I removed the breech, and carefully lifted out the old breech o-ring by plucking it with an old fashioned safety pin. Piece of cake since I took my time (surgeon-like hands here). To install the new one, I dampened it with a bit of Ballistol, and pressed it to a slight oval shape so I could feed it into the retaining groove to get it started towards seating. Then I took a 2mm Allen wrench, wiped it with a little Ballistol, and guided it around the inside of the o-ring. tilting the wrench in the direction I wanted the o-ring to go as I worked it around and into the retaining groove. The o-ring when in slick as snot. I inspected the fit, put the breech back on, and cycled the bolt a few times, then ran two magazines worth of pellets through the gun. All better now. Removing the breech was all I did to gain access. The safety pin cleanly speared the o-ring so I could life it out. I’d thought about it and decided to give it a spin, and it worked! If you have a steady hand and good light, it’s not a bad method. If you drink too much, I’d avoid
trying it.
