quote brwndg:

I actually shoot the guns with the pellets I had planned on using on the the other gun.

That’s what I love about airguns, you never know!
But I’m glad it worked out for you at the end

Well been away for a bit & meant to update this post sooner.
I got the gun back after having it tuned to shoot 34 gr Kings Mk II at ~910 fps. Shoots them well, but I was surprised to find it shoots the 24gr JSBs at 980 fps very very well. I have been shooting them out of it exclusively because I get a much flatter trajectory farther out. FP are pretty impressive too at that speed.
My other .25 Cricket BP puts out the 34gr Mk IIs at ~880 fps and is very accurate so I actually shoot the guns with the pellets I had planned on using on the the other gun.
I hunt w the second BP for now until I can get a better (lighter) stock instead of the Black synthetic stock

Well whatever it is you’re hunting that a .25 is suitable for, it doesn’t matter if you hit that animal with 51fpe (830fps) or 61fpe (900fps). Especially if it’s a headshot. Then even 50 is an overkill. Find the speed/pellet combo that is most accurate and go from there.

I plan on using this Cricket for hunting only so shot/fill is not a big issue. If I get 3 clips at 900 fps I would be okay with that. How often you get 30 shots while hunting? Chances are ER will get more out of her but we shall see

900 fps heavies too much air less shots not worth it.

I found mine to be most accurate at 830-835fps. Dime sized groups @ 55yds. I’ve read similar results from others.

I’ve made some mods and then tuned the reg down to 125 bar. 4 full mags from a 200 bar fill.

Here is what you can expect from a .25 as far as speeds at different hammer spring settings. The data is from my testing with spring preload and various pellets and reg was set @ 130 bar:

Kings Heavies
1000 900
985 860
960 830
910 785

Well, i cant say yet but soon. I own two .25 Crickets. One ER tuned to 935 fps w/ 25.4 Kings & the other packed ready to ship to Ernest to be tuned to shoot 34 Kings. Spoke to ER and he will be installing titanium valve stem & tuning to ~900 fps. Actual fps to be determined but that is the target speed. Plan on using it exclusively for hunting so not worried about max shot count.
I will be posting results (chrono results & 50 yd accuracy) when I get gun back.
I can say that my other ER Cricket is a laser that gets ~52 shots per fill from 210 to 115 bar so I have high expectations

From what I have seen fps drops about 70-100 fps when shootoing 25.4s to 33.9s
