Q:

Air Arms S500

So I just bought a AA S500 Xtra FAC with a laminated nutmeg stock (originally intended for presentation)
The gun is in .22, but I have a .25 barrel and probe coming aswell.
What kind of velocities can I expect going from .22 directly to .25? Will I be able to get 45fpe out of her?
I have already contacted Alatros, because without a regulator I dont think this gun is going to perform to its potential.

Here is a pic of her. The scope and bipod is not mine.

Hi guys.
Okay I need your help… after changing all the orings on the gun and loosening the shroud to clean the barrel I now have a problem…
The pellets dont leave the shroud when shooting. They definatly leave the barrel (I took the shroud off) but they get held up somewhere in there.

Also the barrel sound like it is loose in there when the shoud is on… should there be some kind of spacer to keep the barrel centred in the shroud?
Thanks in advance.

She arrived today! All I can say is wow. The stock is by far the most beautiful I have seen on ANY gun (in real life). There is checkering (more like engraving) in the for end and pistol grip that amazes me. The side lever is WAY smoother than my Cricket and my Daystate Wolverine (sold). I hope the performance meets my expectations.
I rather orderd a HUMA regulator. I will have to drill the air tube, but this gun deseves the best.

Wow, that stock is beautiful! Very nice 😀

The Altaros regulator does not regulate a second air chamber. It simply replaces the valve spring retainer. The regulated chamer is insidie the regulator, or that is how I think it works?
I have had a few people say that I wont get more than 35 FPE. If it is true, I guess it I would fit the .22 barrel and have a awesome regulated rifle.
But I will try!

I think the standard AA S500 Extra in .25 will only put out around 35 ft-lbs. I personally don’t know if you will get 45 ft-lb especially with a regulator which will require a large enough plenum chamber. The marauder struggles with the same issues so maybe you can get some ideas from guys who regulate those in .25cal. Good luck and it would be cool if you met these goals.
