Homemade .22 slugs
Anyone here attempt to mold there own slugs? If so any pointer, which mold, what to expect etc? Want to melt my own for heavier use. Maybe some softer lead for hunting and harder lead alloy for slamming through stuff.

I have one of the Lee 6 cavity molds in 22 throws a 55gr boolit but I can only size it to .224 right now I need to make me a sizing die to reduce it to .210-.214. I actually got to make boolits for shooting sub sonic in my 22 Hornet.
What is DAFS and RTFF?
I haven’t seen those acronyms.

I am tempted to get a .257 barrel to shoot the 65 grain bullets cast but if this lee .22 bullet mold casts 6 at 55 grains then it would be better to go that route. What is the diameter of the airforce .22 barrel? Do I need a sizer at .210?
