Q:

Finished my .25 Condor with the Black Works kit!

Thought I would start a new thread regarding my Condor’s final modification after almost 10 years.

For years I have tried to make this powerful .25 feel right, as it just always felt different. Then last year I was asked by a fellow Airgunner who has a full CNC shop and also had a Condor, what did I really feel about my Condor.

I said I love the fact it is the Lego of airguns, loved the power, loved the accuracy, but for some reason it just never felt like my otherer powder burners.

So I tended to shoot it more and more from a bipod and further and further out. I have a stock and 858cc bottle, a .25 LW barrel, and a heavy brass hammer. Added 20mm rails as the 11m stock rails just didn`t look right, and could not accept 20mm accessories without an adapter.

I installed a forward grip, but could do nothing with the tank as far as adding accessories to make it feel more like a real gun. I have seen flimsy buttstocks, cheesy buttstocks, and ugly buttstocks, but no mono pods…. I love monopods when it comes to bipod shooting hands down.

Today we put together a desert tan kit on another Condor today, and then did some shooting!

WOW!!!

The barrel sleeve has o rings that can be filled with oil or not for harmonics I guess, the front grips are so solid, and actually hold accessories like a real feeling gun, the buttstock is a dream, rock solid, and has a monopod option for adjustments, instead of using bags or your hand underneath!!

The final part will be a beefy trigger guard assembly to complete this high quality kit.
Is it an earth shattering assembly of parts that make the Condor into a incredible airgun, ah no. Is it a kit that bolts on with little modification and makes this platform just feel right, yes it does. 😛 Just to be clear, this kit adds to overall ergonomics, which is what makes any gun you shoot better!

I had no idea what expensive CNC machines are capable of, but I can say these components are light years ahead of cheap, out of spec, Chinese bolt on parts. Yeah sure I have a Chinese scope and bipod, but the rest is North American!

These kits will be made available shortly from Black Works, will carry a lifetime warranty for defects just like the Condor, try to find this with ANY airgun!

Have no pricing yet, the website is being worked on, and I hope to convince him to expand into other airgun parts and services, as he is a licensed machinists with a well equipped large shop.

I am helping him out as I have some computer skills but it`s not my company just to be very clear, mkay.

And my Condor finished!

Thanks, the last trigger assembly component is just going thru some testing, super stable for benching shooting, almost too easy now.

Have to love cloverleafs. 🙂

Sick!!! Well done!

Just waiting on the final testing/fitting of the trigger guard.

I just cannot get over how all the ergonomics I have struggled with for the past 10 years is gone.

When I have my Condor on the bench with the bipod extended the adjustable monpod just takes all loading off the platform, such as honkering down on the bottle and using my hand to get on target,

Anyways I will post some groups as the guy machining these is really picky on the quality, which challenges my impatience. 🙁

Randy

WoW!!!!!!!
I want one

Thanks one more piece to test out, then we will do some groups and do a full review. Just feels so much more like a gun now.

Dude that is twisted awesome! Nice work. Very impressive.

Randy , I have to say you and your friend have done the most awesome job to make an Airforce Gun look like a gun
that people like to see , too bad the people at Airforce Guns did not have the vision you and your friend have . I
wish you both the best in your new enterprise . Now maybe Airforce Guns and other PCP makers will open their minds
to new ideas about the designs that they can come up with and not just promote the same style of their product year
after year with the same design .

Impressive kits! Wow 🙂

Would you ever upgrade to 9mm?

When he has some 9mm parts on the go, but we really found the .25 has lots of thump on gophers already.

I said he should do a video as well, but he just wants to do pictures with descriptions. I am will see what I can get put together, between my office job, raising 2 kids, and doing renos, time is a real luxury.

I would like to see an installation video just to see how it is secured to the rifle.

Impressive kits! Wow 🙂

Would you ever upgrade to 9mm?

Closely watching!

Thanks, yeah the kit just makes my Condor really feel more like my powder burners now.

Far as pricing and other things go, don’t really know much, as my gun was just a donor gun for him to work on with another friend’s.

Soon as he lets me know I will let you know, as he just isn’t much into PCs or the web.

Hope you have pricing and availability by Father’s Day!!!!!!!!!!! Now that is thinking outside the box and developing parts that enhance the base element! Very Nice!
