Q:

Condor safety

Does anyone know if taking out the toggle will cause any changes in velocity/accuracy, or possibly damage to components, like breech, hammer, tophat, etc???

Its the post by Randy; “how to decock the condor ss”, in the condor ss forum. It took me less than 3 minutes for the whole show, and I’ve never looked back! After punching out the pin with a golf tee as a punch, and sliding out the hammer and de-knobed breech, the toggle just fell out when I turned it upside down. Now I can de-cock anytime, especially important for true safety, and hunting, situations. It has worked flawlessly since, with zero need for anything else. Thank you for explaining the inaccuracy resulting from the o-ring grease; she shoots one-holers now! 😀

Its the second pin from the trigger on the housing. There is a good write up in here on removing the lil sucker so you can de-cock the gun. Not sure where it is but it has pics and a very good write up.

Thanks for the help guys! Pics? Vids? I stared at these parts for almost an hour last night…I saw no way to remove any of them. Are the pins under the springs?

Removing only the safety toggle itself should not change anything in terms of accuracy etc. it will only make ur gun not going into automatic safety everytime you cock it, and you are able to decock it. It you have problem with cocking mechanism, open the trigger plate and grease the part lightly and check the springs. Esp the 2nd n 3rd from the back. Changing the 1st spring into smaller or weaker spring will make the first pull lighter. Changing the 2nd will change the 2nd stage. The 3rd is to engage the hammer/striker. Dont change this one. If you change it to lighter spring, hammer might not stay cocked. I cant remember on top of my head but i think i used 0.4mm springs for 1st n 2nd while keeping all length the same. Hope this helps. Im shit at explaining things

I polished the inside tube of my condor ss. After getting to a mirror finish I soaked the gun to remove any grit and burs that remained. Little did I know during the process the metal tab moved from the safety switch. I couldn’t cock the gun or take the safety off. I ended up punching the pin out and removing the tab. Cleaned everything right like I should have the first time and reassembled. There is a slot in the safety switch that this tab falls in place. I think its only purpose is to engage the safety switch but I could be wrong. So rather finding out the hard way I just reinstalled it with a little more shine on it.

I’m curious to know about removal of a new style safety too. I got a lot of slack in an old thread where I asked how to re-install the safety (old style) in a condor. Now I have a new style Condor that I recently purchased from someone here on TAG. I was informed up front that there may be a screw interfering with the safety. I should have asked more questions! When I first shot the gun, I would have to cock the gun over and over until the safety would finally dis-engage but now, It’s stuck on! I can’t seem to figure out why.

Any help/info regarding the thread starters questions would be GREAT…along with a video (ehhemmm….Pandemic) on how to remove the safety, polish the parts, re-install the safety would be GREAT TOO!!!
