Spin-Lok tank conversion

I’ve seen one video that converts a spinlok tank back to quick detach merely by replacing guage and fill with flush screws. Yet someone else said a valve conversion is necessary also, something not mentioned in the video. 😯 Does anyone know the answer, with clarification on this issue, including pros/cons? The reason is I’m consideration converting it to backpack mode. Thanks in advance!
