How many cc does the cricket compact have? It is about 24″ but the airtube goes way further back than on the colibri.

250 CC. :butkick:

Really, so only 30cc less than standard cricket, nice

Lots of new things to come in the LDC world for you guys. Stay tuned :4:

Looking forward for that 😎

Thanks Joe and Fox, There’s always a cycle of downtime where not much is going on with the air gun world. Lots of speculations about what is to come and what everyone is getting all wet for. Then guns start landing in the US and pure joy and lots of pictures. That’s always exciting. Not sure if I’ll get the MK2 Colibri. I had the first generation one although cool, it didn’t capture my attention much. I reached for my Mutant compact almost all the time. Personally, my next gun will be the FX Impact. That’ll be some time though, with a new lathe, also comes the cost of buying all the toolings for it and that could cost as much as the lathe itself. The impact’s adjustments just makes things so much easier when adjusting for speed/power and efficiency. I am waiting for them to iron out the things that Ernest pointed out.

I’ve been back in the dungeon (garage) every night testing new design and new materials. Although current model is effective, there’s always that What if? What if I try this material, or this hole size. Or go vent hole crazy like :hoot: lol j/k we all love you Hoot.

Can’t wait to see your newest goodies Donny !!!

I am like Santa b*tches, I know who’s been naughty or nice 🙂 People call me and text me all the time about what’s going on so no need to visit the forum as much. Fox you are correct that was my old Hummer. I sold a few of my guns to fund a bigger lathe that Dman suggested. Lots of new things to come in the LDC world for you guys. Stay tuned :4:

I’ve never seen that information published anywhere. The compact’s airtube (excluding both ends) is 16.5″ long and OD of ~38mm (assume 3mm walls therefore 32mm ID). Not sure about the standard Cricket dimensions but it’s airtube is 280cc. There’s a 6cm difference between the two models. My guess for the Cricket Compact is it’s around ~230cc.

Volume = πr2h
48cc = π * 16mm * 60mm

Thanks, so the compact cricket 24″ has 30cc more air than colibri.

I really like the style of the hummingbird, very atractive air rifle and no matter the cc I hope to own a mk2 some day

The design of the Colibri just draws me in. I absolutely adore it. My cricket is nice and all, but it doesn’t have that “little bit of magic”. The Impact, Colibri, Vulcan and Mutant Short are the only bullpups that are really special. All for totally different reasons of course, but none of them perfect unfortunately… Not yet, but hopefully soon. :biggrinn: :biggrinn:

One problem is the air cc, I believe it only has 200cc as it is, how much cc aka shot count would a compact have?

Make sure every shot counts? I think there will be many that will make a trade off. A more compact gun for fewer shots. I can’t see a Compact .25 being that popular but offer it in .177 or .22 and it might actually do really well. A standard Colibri now is 740mm or 29.1″. That’s a tad long for a bullpup in my opinion especially in .177 or .22 caliber. If it was offered in a Compact version, I’d prefer 24-26″ max but that’s just my opinion. Something like the below.

Compact 24-26″ (.177 & .22)
Standard 28-29″ (all calibers)
Long 32-33″ (.22 & .25)

Just look at a Lelya. Although it’s a single shot, the thing is tiny and is offered in .25 and people still buy it. Reservoir is only 83.5cc and you get 20 or so shots in .25 if I recall users posting about it.
